The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has appointed Chris M. Tucker as its new COO. An accomplished nonprofit leader, Tucker brings a wealth of expertise in business operations, marketing and communications, institutional advancement, member services, educational programming and strategic planning to his new role. Tucker will oversee day-to-day operations, working in tandem with Executive Vice President and CEO Randy Fiser to execute the organization's mission as a resource and advocate for the interior design industry. Tucker succeeds Thom Banks, a dedicated member of the leadership team who served ASID for 18 years, the past 15 as COO. Banks' wise counsel and meticulous oversight have been invaluable assets to the organization. Banks will remain with ASID through January 2014, collaborating with Tucker during the transition period.
