J. Crew Continues Rapid Global Expansion

New York-based J. Crew Group Inc. plans to open stores across a number of global markets, including the United States, according to www.wwd.com. Additionally, J. Crew will ramp up growth in Canada, where it has eight stores; open stores in London, including the Regent Street flagship slated to open before the holiday season; and unveil locations in Hong Kong and Tokyo. The retailer also is looking to expand its men’s concept, which currently includes 10 units. Including its Madewell and Crewcuts banners, the company currently operates approximately 302 full-price stores, 107 factory outlets and three clearance centers, up from 276 stores, 96 outlets and three clearance centers a year ago.
