RadioShack Opens Additional New York Concept Store
November 27, 2013

Fort Worth, Texas-based RadioShack Corp. opened its newest New York store as a concept store on Nov. 26. This location marks the company’s fourth concept store in Manhattan, where the first concept store debuted in July at 2268 Broadway. The new store can be found near Greenwich Village at 340 First Ave. RadioShack’s new concept store format incorporates a speaker wall and other interactive areas designed to help shoppers improve their technology profile. Additional features include: newly configured displays highlighting in-demand brands; store fixtures that enable shoppers to find and compare products; and touchscreens and apps that help shoppers understand the products. RadioShack is opening a select number of these high-touch stores in high-traffic, high-profile locations. This Manhattan location is one of more than a dozen concept stores to open since the company began converting to such stores. By the end of 2013, RadioShack will have more than 100 concept and brand statement stores open and will have made improvements to almost all of its 4,300 stores throughout the nation.
