Room & Board to Expand Colorado Store
April 12, 2013

Minneapolis-based Room & Board has hired Denver-based Roth Sheppard Architects to design the expansion of its Colorado store in Cherry Creek. Room & Board first partnered with Roth Sheppard on the renovation and redesign of its showroom at 222 Detroit St. in 2001. Then, beginning late last year, the company hired the firm to assist them with the acquisition of the adjacent building. The purchase of the building was finalized on Dec. 28, 2012. Initially, the newly acquired building will be used to showcase Room & Board’s 2013 collection of handcrafted, American-made outdoor furniture. The company’s long-term plan includes the design and construction of a new addition, which will be accessed directly through the existing showroom. Room & Board has stores in Minneapolis, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Seattle and Costa Mesa, Calif.
