December 04, 2013
Australian developer Westfield is expanding the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, N.J., with a 55,000-sq.-ft. “fashion district” addition that is under construction. The new addition will accommodate 23 retailers opening in March, including Tory Burch, Vince Camuto, Maje, Sandro, Scotch & Soda, A|X Armani Exchange and Microsoft, according to wwd.com, with European retailer Kiko Makeup Milano launching its first U.S. store in the mall. The luxury shopping destination will also have a seating area featuring Knoll Carerra marble tables and floors, Tom Dixon chairs, custom lighting and a concierge desk, while a custom chandelier hangs outside of the existing Neiman Marcus. The $160 million project brings the plaza to 2.2 million sq. ft. of leasable space.
