Ware Malcomb to Design New Florida IKEA

Home furnishings retailer IKEA has announced plans to launch a fifth outpost in Florida with the help of Ware Malcomb as project architect. Slated for a fall 2017 opening, the 290,000-sq.-ft. site will be built on a 25-acre site and entail 950 parking spaces.

More than 10,000 exclusively designed items will be sold in-store and 50 room settings, three model interiors, and a 300-seat restaurant will be housed as well.

IKEA operates nearly 400 locations.
