Carl Hansen & Son Announce New Manhattan Showroom

International furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & Son has announced plans to launch a new flagship showroom in New York’s Flatiron District. Debuting in February 2017, the Manhattan showroom will be the brand’s first outpost in the United States since the opening of its SoHo location in 2011.

Spread across 7,659 sq. ft., the space will feature a loft-like design mirroring more of a living environment than a showroom. The space will house three separate, glass-enclosed concepts, all of which featuring designated room for contract projects, a softly toned ‘spotlight’ room, and the Wegner room, embodying the brand’s collaboration with designer Hans J. Wegner. A materials lab will enable architects to review samples and complete projects.

An open lounge area will be situated around the concept spaces, while a kitchen and dining area will serve as the nucleus.
