Tesla Opens Gallery Showroom at Michigan Nordstrom

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Tesla Motors has unveiled a 700-sq.-ft. gallery showroom at a Nordstrom location in Troy, Mich. Tesla’s first gallery in the state offers customers a chance to look but not buy, as the manufacturer has been denied a new dealership license from the Michigan Secretary of State.

Interested viewers will be able to pursue possible purchases via the Tesla website or retail outposts in Ohio or Illinois, according to the Detroit News. The gallery is expected to remain open for the next six months, and showcases a single white Model X SUV.
