Aéropostale Reopens 500 Stores

New York-based teen fashion brand Aéropostale is reopening more than 500 stores this week, highlighting its spring 2017 campaign as well as its makeover under new owner Authentic Brands Group.

According to wwd.com, the brand had previously filed a voluntary petition for bankruptcy court protection in May 2016 with plans to downsize its store footprint and resolve ongoing dealings with its private equity owner. Aéropostale initially shut down 113 U.S. locations as well as 41 Canadian outposts. The deal does not include ownership of the stores.
