• The redesigned PKZ Women store in Basel, Switzerland, is based on the concept of the flagship store at Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich, which was developed with Zurich-based Interstore.

  • The 1,500-sq.meter store covers four floors and sets the perfect stage for the fashion it sells.

  • Today, presenting products on shelves and tables is not enough in brick-and-mortar retailing. A store is supposed to tell shoppers a story, encourage them to try out something and let them discover new things.

  • Subtle materials were purposefully selected. The design features a mix of classic forms and elements, combined with new materials and colors.

  • The special architecture of the building was integrated in the layout and a rounded highlight niche with a white cassette wall at every floor was created, where highlights like the Shoe Bar or shop-in-shops are presented.

  • The light palette, soft carpets and light curtains create an approachable, feminine environment.

  • On each floor, new highlights are waiting to be discovered.
