• The Molteni Group, with Molteni&C|Dada, charged Belgian architect and Molteni&C Creative Director Vincent Van Duysen with designing the Milan flagship store, a gracious and secluded home-from-home within an exhibition space. Part of the new Durini Design District, the store is 1,300 sq. meters, arranged over two levels and 15 shop windows.

  • The spatial experience, materials and lighting are deliberately designed to offer an atmospheric and involving experience—a new home concept based on the skillful alternation of spaces and material geometries.

  • The inclusion of wooden ceiling beams matching the floor effectively blurrs the separation between the living and dining spaces, offering a continuous flow of interconnected interiors.

  • The main architectural features, such as the wood flooring, black oak panelling and warm grey volumes with a smooth plaster finish, create a sleek but welcoming home environment, where the focus is on the furniture.

  • More than 600 sq. meters of space are devoted to Dada kitchens.

  • The new Molteni&C flagship store in Osaka, Japan, is on the first floor of a large, modern building in the the Shinshaibashi shopping district.

  • Visitors to the Osaka store follow a sensorial pathway marked by light and shade, delicate tones and flashes of color.

  • The 400-sq.-meter space is inspired by an exclusive, spacious western home.

  • High-impact detail is the transparency created by the wide windows, a graphic hallmark of architect Vincent Van Duysen, Molteni&C|Dada’s creative director.

  • Natural materials, such as glass, oxidized wood and resin, and the Ceppo stone evoke a warm, yet modern atmosphere.
