Pizza Hut Opens Robot-Staffed ph+ Location in Shanghai


Plano, Texas-based Pizza Hut has unveiled a new concept in Shanghai that accommodates guests with the help of a robot host. The ph+ concept is housed within the city’s tallest building and features additional innovative technology including tables that operate like large-scale iPads and mobile payment systems to handle bills at the end of the meal. Upscale décor such as natural woods, soft tones, and porcelain vases elevate the interior.  

Pizza Hut’s owner, Louisville, Ky.-based Yum Brands, operates 7,300 eateries in China.
