Serravalle Expands Retail Space

Europe’s largest designer outlet Serravalle, part of the McArthurGlen Group, has expanded its retail space by 135,000 sq. ft. and also launched 40 new stores. The enlarged space will mark the entry of contemporary labels like Sandro, Empresa, and A.T.P.C.O. into the Italian outlet market. Italian vintage retailer A.N.G.E.L.O. also will debut a pop-up store inside.

The company also is working to improve the overall customer experience with new lounges, enhanced WiFi, and a tourism desk to promote surrounding sites and attractions. McArthurGlen also is infusing stores with artwork, including an installation from Mario Airo, says wwd.com.

The group maintains a series of Italian outlets in regions of Florence, Naples, Rome, and Venice. It plans to invest in a nearly 700,000-sq.-ft. space in Noventa di Piave.
