ALDI Announces Plans for Additional New Jersey Stores


German grocer ALDI has announced plans to add more than five additional locations in New Jersey to its expansion plan in the United States. Following an opening in the Voorhees market of the Garden State, the newly announced units are slated to arrive before the end of 2018. NJ.com reports that forthcoming development sites in the state are located in Egg Harbor Township, Old Bridge, Winslow Township and Pohatcong, while a unit is Livingston remains unconfirmed.

ALDI plans to invest $1.9 billion in the remodel and expansion of more than 1,300 of its 1,800 U.S. stores by the end of 2020. The national footprint could bloom to 2,500 by 2022.
