Kohl’s to Lease Vacant Store Space to Grocers


Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based retailer Kohl’s has announced plans to lease vacant spaces created by its downsizing efforts. Business Insider reports that the company will pursue grocery or convenience stores to install smaller units at its roughly 300 scaled-down outposts. Kohl’s CEO Kevin Mansell even indicated the company may be willing to strike deals with competitors.

Kohl’s operates more than 1,150 stores.
