L.L. Bean Ends Lifetime Return Policy

Freeport, Maine-based outdoor apparel brand L.L. Bean announced plans to discontinue its signature lifetime return policy. The window for customers to return products with a receipt shrunk to one year, NPR reports, though the company says it will work with customers in the event that a product proves to be defective after the year deadline. L.L. also claims the policy update is only expected to impact a small percentage of shoppers.
