Nordstrom Shows Off Positive Second-Quarter Performance


Seattle-based department store franchise Nordstrom has reported sales growth in the second quarter. Net sales continue to grow at 4 percent with earnings per diluted share reaching $2.85 to $3, beating initial expectations. Total sales at the end of July increased from $3.6 billion to $3.7 billion.

According to wwd.com, Nordstrom’s online sales blossomed as well, growing 20 percent on Nordstrom.com and 27 percent at Nordstromrack.com/HauteLook.

Nordstrom operates 354 stores in 40 states and Canada.
