North Point Mall in Georgia to Undergo Redevelopment

The North Point Mall in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, Ga. has announced plans to repurpose the space recently left vacant by the closing of its Sears outpost. A new 14-acre project will be developed in its place to accommodate a new structure with nearly 330 apartments and roughly 30,000 sq. ft. of retail and dining. The new design will create a new mall entrance and community gathering space, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

In addition to new green space, a 2.5-acre plaza with Spanish steps will be developed along with a multifunctional trail system for pedestrians and bikers. Nearly 25,000 sq. ft. of co-working space also will open onsite.
