The Fresh Market to Close 15 Stores


Greensboro, N.C.-based gourmet grocer The Fresh Market has announced that it will shutter 15 stores. The Atlanta Business Chronicles reports that closures will occur in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin. The announcement arrives as part of the company’s revitalization efforts, which have so far proven effective according to CEO Larry Appel.

The Fresh Market operates roughly 175 stores in 24 states.
