With the popularity of pop-ups soaring in retail today, retailers and brands are looking for solutions that are easy and accessible to get their temporary real estate up and running quickly and efficiently. And what if that solution also offered the bonus perk of unlimited customer data?

Introducing Samsung Connected Spaces, a pop-up store solution from Samsung Electronics America Inc. that harnesses the power of data to design and deliver an enhanced, more intelligent customer experience. Aimed at activating short-term physical retail opportunities, Samsung Connected Spaces offers an Internet of Things (IoT)-ready solution that provides retailers with data and insight on key store factors, such as customer traffic, dwell time and demographics (age and gender), which can be measured for specific times and areas in a store.

“Bringing digital best practices to in-store environments enables retailers to shed light on data darkness and create a model for smarter business decisions,” says Ian Son, senior vice president, Mobile B2B division, Samsung Electronics America.

The pop-up solution uses Samsung Nexshop software, the company’s cloud-based digital store platform with real-time behavioral sensing, in addition to Internet protocol (IP) cameras and mobile devices. Pop-up store associates can also interact with shoppers using organized cloud-based content via tablets or interactive displays, in addition to analysis capabilities.

In collaboration with shopper conversion specialist Barrows, Samsung Connected Spaces also includes elements such as ideation, location scouting, logistics and fulfillment. It’s a one-stop, plug-and-play solution for today’s retail experience.
