On Trend: Space-Saving Design

By Robin Enright

Say goodbye to dark and dusty wine shops and hello to Denver’s splashy new Bouzy Wine & Spirits, compliments of Boulder, Colo.’s Arch11. Working with the original bones of the space and on a shoestring budget, Arch11 helped create an innovative European and industrial atmosphere with crisp and clean design features.

Custom-made modular floor fixtures have organic curves and can be repositioned or reconfigured as needed to accommodate stock. The light Baltic-birch extends floor to ceiling as well to create a dramatic wine wall. Skylights and bright splashes of color on light fixtures and in funky art make this space-saving design not only inviting but versatile. The result? A modern take on booze and a consumer experience that invites engagement and exploration.
